Hi everyone, First of all my car - A 2015 Ford Focus Mk3 Ecoboost 1.0l 125ps. I appear to have bricked my ABS module using Forscan (ABS and traction control warning lights on) - I have tried literally everything to get it sorted but now one last ditch attempt is to source the module from ebay and replace it.
The GEM module is located t the rear of the interior fuse box. The first step is to remove the trim panel that covers the gap between the upper side of the steering column and the dash. It just unsnaps from the dash. It makes it a little easier to remove if you move the shifter all the way down to drive 1.

After researching and contacting them, my problem is the linking arm to the wiper arm had worn and dropped. They sell parts that can be easily fit by yourself with video instructions. Mine is a ford focus mk2 and the part cost £5.49 free postage. Hope this helps all who are struggling to resolve their issues.

Posted October 7, 2013. I retrofitted the PTC heater system to my Focus MK2 with manual A/C. For the PTC heater system you will need a different type of heater control panel which has an additional microswitch (and some components) on the circuit board. The standard heater control panel does not have this microswitch.

The symptoms all point to the GEM (General Electronic Module) which is part of the PJB (Passenger Junction Box). The Mk 2 doesn't have a BCM. Don't overlook the possibility of low battery voltage causing spurious problems but the GEM itself is where I'd be looking. There is a diagnostic test you can try that's detailed in the how-to section. Outputs from the GEM may be more susceptible to damage, either by short circuits to ground when the GEM is energising them, or by shorting to battery voltage. On the basic Focus, the electronic part of the GEM activates relays (one for the Drivers Door & Fuel Filler, one for the other door(s)), that supply 12v, via fuses, to the unlock motors

GEM is responsible for some comfort functions of your Ford Focus MK1. You can test this module and check if all signals are coming through to GEM. This can b

#3 · Jul 25, 2005 I had sorta the same thing i hooked up a speedo overlay and the thing went wacko shorting out my blower motor, cig lighter, and instrument cluster lights. My local garage traced the problem back to the gem module. Fortunately they stopped there and informed my there was nothing more they could do
They checked three other Focus all newer models and they had the alarm in that place. The suggestion was I found another 06 Focus , set the alarm off and listen to where it is. My own thoughts are that the gem box is not set correctly but they wont have it. Can any one tell me where the siren is located . Thanks. Ant 5. Rotate the emergency mechanical key to position 0. 6. Remove the emergency mechanical key from the ignition lock cylinder. The keyless vehicle module is now in passive key diagnosis mode. The module will remain in diagnosis mode for 30 seconds or until the ignition lock cylinder is rotated to position II.

The Body Control Module (BCM) could be considered a central organizational module for your vehicle. It streamlines the manufacturing and troubleshooting aspects of electronic modules by housing the modules into one, central unit instead of each function having its own device.

As for the AirBag light, gotta take apart the cluster and pull the bulb, as I think even with the controller removed, the light will stay on. I could be wrong though.

Hope this helps. The key is simple to program so long as you have two original keys (that can start your car) I bought a flip key from eBay for £30 got it cut in a local shop for a tenner, and programmed my self. So including the gem module the whole mod only cost £70 one of the best mods I've added to my car.

Seldom any issues with this, and it controls a LOT in the car. "Rubber Side Down". S.R. #275. Note: Ford IDS doesn't display readed data, just program the data to new ECU.
